At 9:02pm on February 28, 2008, John Peters said…: I am really interested in Open Source software and learning how to use digital storytelling to help my students get excited about learning and keeping them engaged in the classroom.

I have just started having them make podcasts of the vocabulary in the Health Science classes that I teach. Hopefully, we will start uploading these podcasts to our class website over the weekend.

We will also be working on developing a VoiceThread about our classes and our student organization to show at a Parent's Night scheduled for March 10th. Stay tuned, I will post our efforts here when we complete the project.

Like any school, we have an annual "Teacher of the Year" and "Paraprofessional of the Year" award. By way of learning how to use VoiceThread and to expose some of my colleagues, I developed a thread to encourage others to vote for our CT&E Secretary.
